How does PayPal work?

PayPal can be used to send payments through the Internet. Once you sign up for a PayPal account, you can make your donation to the Nebraska Food Bank. You can choose to fund your payments from your PayPal account balance, a credit card, or your bank account. Recipients are then notified via an email from PayPal that they have received a payment from you.

Is PayPal secure?

The PayPal site is highly secure. It features industry-leading technology (such as Secure Socket Layer protocol) to keep your information safe. Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, your donation is tax deductible, as long as the funds represent a gift to The Food Bank with no return benefit being derived by the donor. Your gift through PayPal goes directly to the Nebraska Food Bank Network (also known as the Omaha Food Bank), which is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Retain your receipt for tax purposes.

The Food Bank will periodically use a third party to communicate with its donors. This third party certifies to The Food Bank that they will use the name and address information only to communicate with the donor for The Food Bank.
